americas-liberty:

91 reported killed, 20 of which are children, in the tornado that struck Oklahoma. Reports are that some of the children drowned in the school’s basement after the water pipes burst.

My prayers and condolences go out to all affected. This is a time for all Americans to put aside and differences and come together to help the victims.

I DON’T CARE. I’M NOT LOOKING FOR THEM.

NONE FOR YOU THEN, MR LAZYPANTS.

Maybe working on Devil’s Carnival gifs. I’d do Boondock Saints ones, but good lord there’s so many already and they’re much better than I can do, so it seems like a waste of time. And I’m sure someone out there has already done sets for similarities and shit.

Anonymous: Yea that was a sleepless night some of my good friends had family out there, I remember driving through Joplin on my way to Illinois shortly after that one it was just devastated, was your friend alright? Tornados freak me out honestly

I was frantically calling her and her husband to check if they were okay, which they were. Her mother-in-law’s house was completely destroyed, her husband worked at Academy Sports and that was half demolished. I went back two days later to help them and it really looked like a bunch of bombs had gone off. I had seen a tornado with them a few years before that in another city, but they lived up on a hill and tornadoes tend to take level ground so it went down the interstate past us.

Though it was a little funny at the time. It was around midnight and the tornado siren went off, and my friend seriously goes, “I didn’t know they tested the sirens at night.” Me and her, at that time, fiance both went “THEY DON’T.” So we hid in the garage stairwell. And her fiance had the brilliant idea to lift the flimsy garage door some so he could watch, but the wind peeled that off like nothing. So, funny in the “haha we’re dumbasses but we’re okay” kinda way.
